My passion and enthusiasm are rarely tamed. My approach to life has been to focus the power and convergence of those two virtues on the craft of communications, marketing and the development of relationships that drive personal and professional growth. I harness that passion to identify and implement creative and unique ways to communicate.

As any creative person, I am un-apologetically emotional. I use that emotion to craft powerful yet clear messages and build enduring relationships. I love to create emotional connection and engage the human side of my audience, driving them to action and compelling them to change.

I now manage all communications, marketing and business development at the Trucking Safety Council of BC, including the design, creation and administration of the website, publications, events, promotions and social media marketing communication efforts. I represent the Council on various boards and committees, developing relationships with representatives from strategic partners such as the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, ICBC, WorkSafeBC, BCAA and other naturally aligned associations. I also do freelance communications work for various companies and write articles and stories for various publications and newspapers.

A true geek at heart, I have been involved in social media since its inception (now I’m aging myself!) and I understand the value of social media for both audience relationships and marketing and have designed social media marketing plans, investing in strategies that include free media, crowd sourcing, content curation and media monitoring and metrics.
