About Me
Welcome to my personal and professional portfolio.
In case you didn’t guess, my name is Leasa Hachey. I am a writer, professional corporate communicator, social media marketer, graphic artist, super geek, student of Buddhism and mom.
I am currently employed by the Trucking Safety Council of BC as Manager of Communications, Marketing and Content Strategy. I also do freelance writing, editing, marketing and graphic arts.
At the Trucking Safety Council I manage, develop and maintain all internal and external communications and marketing, including brand and project management, content strategy, web design and administration, strategic stakeholder initiatives, social media marketing strategies, social media metrics and monitoring, measuring communications ROI, graphic design, newsletters, articles, employee engagement, community outreach and events and planning.
As a freelancer I create compelling communications initiatives that generate impact and drive audience engagement. I enjoy creating and strengthening personal connections through understanding of individual needs, which I then translate into communications with the appropriate strategic tone that will resonate with a particular audience, either external or internal.
I understand the value of social media for both audience relationships and marketing and have designed social media marketing plans, investing in strategies that include free media, crowd sourcing, content curation and media monitoring and metrics. I have many years of experience in web design and web strategies, including extensive CMS and LMS design and administration experience. I have created online learning courses and portals, creating and editing content and developing courseware using Articulate.
